Crux implementation typically takes 2-3 weeks from kickoff to production dashboards. Here’s what to expect:

Week 1: Data Foundation

Data Access & COGS Implementation

What we need from you:
  • Admin access to Shopify, Recharge, GA4, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Bing Ads, & TikTok Ads Manager where relevant.
  • Marketing channel classification rules (how you define “Paid Social” vs “Organic Social”).
  • COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) breakdown by product/SKU.
  • Fulfilment cost per order (broken down by order type).
  • Payment processing fee structure.
  • Affiliate marketing costs (if relevant).
  • Influencer posts, costs & follower / category stats.
What we deliver:
  • Secure data pipeline setup connecting all sources to BigQuery.
  • Initial COGS model implementation based on your product economics.
  • Configuration sheet setup for your customisation needs (marketing channels, influencer tracking, discount code tracking).
Accurate COGS data is critical for profitability metrics. We’ll work with you to ensure product costing reflects your actual economics.

Week 2: Configuration & Modelling

Channel Definition & Data Transformation

What we need from you:
  • Any custom metrics or dimensions specific to your business.
  • Potential availability to answer any ad hoc integration questions.
What we deliver:
  • Configured marketing channel attribution logic in your configuration sheet.
  • Complete DBT data models transforming raw data into analytics-ready tables.
  • Initial dashboard builds based on your core KPIs.
The configuration sheet becomes your control panel for ongoing customisation, no code changes required for channel updates.

Week 3: Dashboard Build & Kickoff

Dashboard Finalisation & Training

Kickoff call agenda:
  • Walkthrough of all dashboard reports and their use cases.
  • Health indicator system explanation and interpretation.
  • Configuration sheet training for self-service updates.
  • Q&A and prioritisation of any additional customisation needs.
What you receive:
  • Production-ready Looker Studio dashboards.
  • Access to your configuration sheet for ongoing updates.
  • Documentation covering all metrics and data definitions.
  • Direct support channel for questions.

What Happens Next

Daily Operations

Once live, Crux becomes your morning routine:
  1. 2-minute triage: Review health indicators to see what needs attention.
  2. Deep dives: Investigate flagged metrics using detailed reports.
  3. Action: Spend less time playing data detective and make informed decisions backed by comprehensive data.

Monthly Partnership

Your monthly fee includes 7 hours of dashboard customisation and configuration time. This includes:
  • Adding/modifying charts in existing dashboards
  • Surfacing metrics or swapping visualisations
  • Adding dimensions from existing data layer
  • Adjusting filters, layouts, or formatting
  • Minor configuration changes to health indicators
Through our analysis on demand service you can also arrange:
  • Custom Analysis: Deep-dive investigations into specific questions or opportunities.
  • Attribution Model Updates: Changes to your attribution model to get the most value from your specific channel mix.
  • New Data Sources: Setting up and integrating new data sources into your dashboards.
  • Geo Lift Experiments: Guidance and setup of geo lift tests to measure true incrementality of channels and initiatives.
  • Strategic Projects: In depth projects like; predictive LTV models, Value Driver Audits, board meeting analysis etc.
Monthly hours do not roll over into subsequent months if unused.
